Interactive Impacts of Temperature and Elevated CO2 on Basil (Ocimum basilicum L.) Root and Shoot Morphology and Growth

چکیده
Recent evidence suggests that the effects of temperature significantly affect growth and development basil plants with detrimental impacts on yield. The current research investigated interactive varying CO2 levels shoot root morphology early late-season plants. Basil were subjected to control (30/22 °C), low (20/12 high (38/30 °C) under ambient (420 μL L−1) elevated (720 concentrations. Decreasing 20/12 °C caused more adverse morphological traits early-season basil. Relative treatments, low- high-temperature stresses decreased 71 14% in marketable fresh mass, respectively. exhibited an increase plant height, node branch numbers, specific leaf area, anthocyanin nitrogen balance index, tips, crossings when stress. Furthermore, affected many features compared findings this study suggest would impact morphologies rates than increasing concentrations, which ameliorated

متن کاملChicoric acid found in basil (Ocimum basilicum L.) leaves
This is the first report to identify the presence of chicoric acid (cichoric acid; also known as dicaffeoyltartaric acid, which is a caffeic acid derivatizedwith tartaric acid) in basil leaves. Rosmarinic acid, chicoric acid and caftaric acid (in the order of most abundant to least; all derivatives of caffeic acid) were identified in fresh basil leaves. Rosmarinic acid was themain phenolic comp...

Many herbs and spices have been shown to contain high levels of polyphenolic compounds with potent antioxidant properties. In the present study, we explore how nutrient availability, specifically nitrogen fertilization, affects the production of polyphenolic compounds in three cultivars (Dark Opal, Genovese, and Sweet Thai) of the culinary herb, basil ( Ocimum basilicum L.). Nitrogen fertilizat...
